Expertise in anodizing – and close cooperation with our customers
Ahlins are experts in anodizing aluminum in both small and large series and for details in many different dimensions. For more than five decades, we have refined our processes and built up deep expertise in several specialist areas:
Anodising – the foundation of our expertise
Our most common process, where we create a controlled oxide layer that provides improved corrosion protection, increased wear resistance and an aesthetically uniform surface. Suitable for both small precision parts and larger components.
Hard anodising – for extreme requirements
For parts exposed to harsh environments, high friction or heavy wear. The process produces an extra thick and very robust oxide layer that can withstand significantly more than regular anodising.
Decorative anodising – when appearance matters
Used when both function and design are important. The result is a smooth, beautiful and durable surface with the possibility of colouring with high colour accuracy.
Passivation – effective corrosion protection without affecting dimensions
A chemical surface treatment that creates a thin but very effective protective film. Perfect when a clean metal finish is to be maintained or when parts are to be used in demanding environments.
Technical advice from the start
We are happy to be involved already in the drawing stage and help our customers understand what is possible and optimal from a surface treatment perspective. The right conditions early in the process save both time, costs and quality later.

Innovation in practice — meet Ahlina
One of our most notable initiatives is the Ahlina robot. Despite doubts from those around us, we decided to take the plunge – and today she has become one of our most effective colleagues. Critical voices became a driving force that made us even more determined.
